Dynamics 365 · Cloud migration

Move your on-premise Dynamics to the cloud, without losing what your business depends on.

Dynamics CRM, AX, NAV or GP, with years of data, custom code and integrations behind it. We assess what you run today, choose the right route to Dynamics 365, and move your data, processes and users in a rehearsed, controlled cutover.

Start with the facts

Your current environment decides the route

Moving to the cloud is not just copying a database. Your product, version, customisations, integrations and data quality decide what should move, what should change and what should be left behind.

We review all of this first, so you know the route, the effort and the risks before you commit to a plan.

  • Product and version inventory
  • Custom code and ISV add-ons
  • Integrations and interfaces
  • Reports and dashboards
  • Data volume and quality
  • Legal entities and users
  • Security and compliance needs
  • Downtime window and budget
Migration paths

A different route for each Dynamics product

We match the destination to your business, not just your old system.

Dynamics CRM→Dynamics 365

Customer engagement, modernised

Bring customer, sales and service data into Dynamics 365 and keep the processes and integrations your teams rely on.

SalesCustomer ServicePower Platform
Dynamics AX→Finance & SCM

Finance and operations on a modern base

Plan the move of finance, supply chain and manufacturing data, and rebuild custom code on supported extension models.

FinanceSupply ChainManufacturing
Dynamics NAV→Business Central

Growing businesses, cloud-ready

Move eligible NAV environments to Business Central, with data preparation, code conversion and checks after go-live.

FinancialsInventoryReporting
Dynamics GP→Business Central

Mid-size finance, simplified

Move GP financial and operational data to Business Central, and decide which history and add-ons are worth keeping.

Not sure which path fits? We will assess your current Dynamics setup and recommend the route that makes sense, including a fresh implementation where that is the better choice.

Our approach

From assessment to go-live in six phases

Clear checkpoints let your team see scope, manage risk and make go or no-go decisions with confidence.

Assess

Review your environment, data, customisations, integrations and requirements to set a baseline.

Plan

Agree the target platform, scope, data strategy, timeline and cutover approach.

Prepare

Clean and map data, review customisations and ready the target environment.

Migrate & modernise

Move business-critical data and rebuild old code, workflows and reports where the cloud does it better.

Test & validate

Check data, processes, integrations, security and user workflows before production.

Go live & optimise

Run the cutover, support users, fix post-go-live issues and keep improving.

Our principle

Migrate what matters. Modernise what needs to change.

Not every old customisation or historical record needs to follow you into the cloud. We help you keep what the business uses and drop the rest.

Carry forward

What the business still needs, moved with care.

  • Master data and open transactions
  • History needed for audit and reporting
  • Processes that still match how you work

Rebuild or retire

What would only add legacy weight in the cloud.

  • Custom code replaced by standard features
  • Old reports rebuilt in Power BI
  • Unused fields, workflows and data archived

In heavily customised environments, the right answer is often code conversion or a fresh implementation rather than a simple lift and shift. We tell you that early.

Testing and cutover

Rehearse the move before it counts

We run trial migrations, measure how long each step takes, reconcile the numbers and fix issues while the old system is still live. Your team signs off in user acceptance testing before we set a cutover date.

Cutover day follows a written runbook with owners, checkpoints and a fallback plan, so everyone knows what happens and who decides.

  • Trial data loads
  • Balance reconciliation
  • Integration testing
  • User acceptance testing
  • Cutover runbook
  • Go or no-go checkpoints
  • Fallback plan
  • Hypercare after go-live
Business value

More than a new place to host the same system

A cloud move is a chance to simplify how your business runs. We help you use it that way.

Less infrastructure to run

Reduce the servers, patching and hardware work that come with on-premise systems.

Room to scale

Add users, locations and workloads without a new hardware project each time.

Better visibility

Connect Dynamics 365 with Power BI so managers see current numbers, not last week's export.

Automation and AI

Use Power Platform and Copilot to cut manual work and speed up approvals.

Stronger security

Use Microsoft identity, access and compliance controls as part of a modern setup.

Fewer big upgrades

Stay current with regular Microsoft updates instead of large, disruptive upgrade projects.

Got questions?

Frequently asked questions

Can our on-premise Dynamics system be moved to the cloud?

In most cases yes, but the route depends on your product, version, data, customisations and integrations. We assess the current environment first and then confirm whether the right approach is an upgrade, a data migration to a new cloud tenant, a reimplementation or a mix of these.

Can you migrate a heavily customised Dynamics environment?

Yes. We review custom code, workflows, reports, ISV add-ons and integrations one by one, then decide what to carry forward, rebuild on cloud-native features or retire. This avoids moving old technical debt into the new system.

Can Dynamics AX 2012 be moved to Dynamics 365 Finance and Supply Chain Management?

Yes, for eligible environments. The work covers assessment, data upgrade planning, review of custom code and reports, integration redesign, testing and cutover. Because custom code does not move as-is, it is reviewed early so the effort is clear before you commit.

Can Dynamics NAV or GP move to Business Central?

Often yes. The exact path depends on your NAV or GP version, customisations and the data you need. Older NAV versions can need an intermediate upgrade step, and custom C/AL code is usually converted to AL extensions or replaced during a reimplementation.

Will all our historical data and customisations be carried over?

Not necessarily, and usually not all of it. We agree with your business owners what must be live in the new system, what stays accessible for audit or reporting, and what can be archived or dropped. Customisations follow the same test.

How long does a cloud migration take?

There is no standard timeline. It depends on the source version, data volume and quality, number of legal entities, customisation and integration complexity, and testing needs. A short assessment gives you a realistic plan and the assumptions behind it.
